LeadFrogg compared with other ways to build a lead list
An honest look at when LeadFrogg is the right choice, and when it is not.
The short version
LeadFrogg is for lists of businesses: a name, address, phone number, website and, where published, an email. It is a good fit when you need many business contacts at a predictable price. It is not a database of named decision makers, so it is not the right tool if you need a specific person's work email and job title.
LeadFrogg vs building a list by hand
- By hand: free, but slow. You open maps and directories, copy each detail, then visit websites to find an email. A few hundred leads can take a full day.
- LeadFrogg: one search returns the whole city, the website scan looks for emails for you, and the export is ready for a spreadsheet. You are paying to save hours.
- Choose by hand if you only need a handful of leads. Choose LeadFrogg once you need more than a few dozen.
LeadFrogg vs pay-per-contact lead databases
- Pay-per-contact tools charge credits for each contact or each email you reveal, so the cost grows with every list. Many focus on named people at companies, which suits some sales teams.
- LeadFrogg charges a flat monthly price. A business counts once a month however many times it appears, and scanning websites and exporting cost nothing extra. Plans run from ₹199 or $5 for 3,000 leads a month.
- Choose a per-contact database if you need named decision makers and can pay for them. Choose LeadFrogg if businesses are your target and you want a fixed bill.
LeadFrogg vs running your own scraper
- A scraper gives you control, but you maintain it, handle blocking and clean the data yourself. Scraping some directories also breaks their terms of use.
- LeadFrogg uses public map data and each business's own website, with no setup and nothing to maintain.
- Choose your own scraper if you have developer time and very specific needs. Choose LeadFrogg if you would rather spend that time selling.
LeadFrogg vs buying a ready-made list
- Bought lists are often old, shared with many buyers and sometimes collected without consent, which can cause trouble with email providers and with the law.
- LeadFrogg builds the list when you search, from public sources, and shows a fit score so you can see which leads are easiest to reach.
What to know before you choose
- Coverage varies. Business details come from public map data kept up to date by volunteers. Big cities are usually well covered; small towns can have fewer entries and fewer phone numbers or emails.
- Email checks are limited. We mark an address Valid when its domain can receive email and Risky when we find a problem. That cannot prove an individual mailbox exists, so test a small batch before a large send.
- Follow the rules for contacting people. Laws on cold email, calls and messages differ by country. You are responsible for using the leads lawfully.
